The Working Principle of Sieves: The Art of Precise Classification
The operating principle of vibrating screens is based on separating the material according to its size by moving it on the screen surface with a controlled vibration movement:
- A drive mechanism (motor and shaft) mounted on the screen body and equipped with eccentric weights creates a circular or elliptical vibration movement.
- This vibration gives both a forward movement and a jumping movement to the material on the screen surface.
- As the material moves across the screen surface, particles smaller than the mesh size of the screen wire fall to the bottom floor or collection chutes.
- Larger grains remain on the sieve surface and are directed to the next stage or stock area.
- Factors such as screen inclination angle, vibration amplitude, speed, and screen mesh type directly affect screening efficiency and capacity. These parameters are precisely adjusted based on the type of material being processed and the desired product properties.
