Traveling Grate Boiler
Highly Efficient and Flexible Fuel Steam Generation
STS Global Machinery's Moving Grate Steam Boilers operate on a two-stage combustion principle, achieving maximum efficiency. The volatile gases from the coal fed into the system are first released (gasification). The pure carbon remaining on the grate is then completely burned. During this process, the released volatile gases are mixed with secondary air and re-combusted, minimizing energy losses. This advanced technology achieves high combustion efficiency and low emissions, even with low-calorie fuels.
Superior Engineering and Durability:
- High Temperature Resistance: Approximately 950-1050°C long-lasting and trouble-free operation with high chrome alloy (Gx40CrSi27) cast grill material resistant to stove temperatures.
- Precise Control: Eccentric shaft driven moving grate mechanism with planetary reducer and inverter control to optimize combustion speed and efficiency.
- Modular and Maintenance-Oriented Design: Fast and practical maintenance thanks to bolt-nut connection, fully demountable grill units, and easy access points.
- Quality Material: St35.8 quality seamless steel drawn pipes complying with DIN 2448 EN 10216-2 standard are used in the forecourt system and all water pipes.
Fuel Flexibility and Operational Ease:
Our boilers are engineered to efficiently burn a variety of coal sizes, including 0.5-10 mm rice coal and 10-18 mm hazelnut coal. For added flexibility, biomass fuels such as sunflower hulls can be co-fired with coal in certain proportions. Operational control is simplified by a mechanical guillotine system for easy fuel bed height adjustment, while the refractory-lined ceiling structure further optimizes combustion efficiency.
