Fuel Preparation and Transfer Systems
The Foundation of Efficient Combustion: Professional Fuel Preparation
The efficiency and performance of a power plant or industrial boiler are directly dependent on the quality of the fuel used and how well it is prepared for combustion. At STS Global Makina, we design and install fuel preparation and transfer systems for coal, biomass, and various industrial wastes, tailored to your facility's combustion technology and capacity.
Our Fuel Preparation Processes
Our goal is to transport raw fuel from the stockpile to the furnace where it will be burned in the most efficient and homogeneous form. This process involves a range of equipment customized to the type of fuel and the facility's needs:
- Size Reduction (Crushing and Grinding): Jaw, impact or special type crushers are used to bring the raw fuel (coal, wood, pallets, etc.) to the ideal particle size required by the combustion system.
- Screening and Classification: Vibrating screens are used to separate crushed material into the desired size range. Unwanted material is sent back to the crusher.
- Mixing and Homogenization: Special mixing bunkers and systems are designed to mix fuels with different calorific values or to achieve a homogeneous structure of the fuel.
- Transfer and Feeding: Belt conveyors, screw conveyors or pneumatic conveying systems are used to transport the prepared fuel from the stock area to the boiler safely and continuously.
Flexible Solutions for a Wide Range of Fuels
Depending on the structure of your fuel storage area and the characteristics of the fuel you will use, we install turnkey fuel preparation and transfer systems for the following fuel types:
- Coal: Coal of all sizes suitable for combustion technology is passed through crushers and screened to make it most suitable for combustion.
- Forest Waste: Biomass sources such as wood, tree roots, branches, sawdust.
- Agricultural Wastes: Agricultural residues such as corn stalks, wheat stalks, tea straw, sunflower husks, cotton waste and reeds.
- Industrial and Urban Waste: Waste pallets, crates, furniture waste and other combustible industrial waste.
